Book Launch: "Diabolically Good: The Movie Career and Afterlife of Horror Icon Vincent Price"

You may ask yourself what book I'm holding here at this week's book launch party since it's clearly not my latest release from Anxiety Press: Diabolically Good: The Movie Career and Afterlife of Horror Icon Vincent Price. No. The purple, paper-covered pamphlet featured above is On the Matter of Vincent Price, an insta-chapbook of Price poems that I made with my partner Sok Song, specifically for the Diabolically Good release festivities. (Bookbuyers in attendance were given a free copy of this mini-collection before, during, and after the main event at the LGBT Center's Bureau of General Services - Queer Division bookstore.)

"It was a dark and stormy night," quipped the evening's host, Gabriel Chavez. But neither active storm clouds nor the sound of thunder deterred a packed room of Price fans from showing up to celebrate the beloved B-movie icon. With performances by Regie Cabico, Linda Manning, Mike Pinney, and Sok, this truly was a night I won't soon forget. If you weren't able to attend, you can still purchase a copy of Diabolically Good via Bookshop or Amazon. On the Matter of..., however, was a limited run.
