Distribution: So Many Titles, How Many Libraries

Last year at the start of 2025, I took a look at how many libraries were carrying my handful of books — and then later, which ones were carrying anthologies which included my work. As we kick off 2026, I was curious to see how the numbers might have shifted. Were more libraries carrying my books or less than before? The results are mixed. The largest uptick was for Fassbinder: His Movies, My Poems which went up by 22 locations, followed by Stories About Penises which spiked by an additional 15. On the flipside, You're Pretty Gay was dropped by one library, while Infinity Standing Up was dropped by three. Alas! What's notable to me is how the numbers for Publick Spanking, which dates all the way back to 1996, remain unchanged. Check out the data below.

Poetry and Short Story Collections

  • Fassbinder: His Movies, My Poems (2024): 34 libraries (up 22)

  • Periodic Boyfriends (2023): 55 libraries (up one)

  • You're Pretty Gay (2021): 53 libraries (down one)

  • Infinity Standing Up (2019): 74 libraries (down three)

  • Publick Spanking (1996): 16 libraries (no change)
