I'm assuming that Famhidan Journal's February 15th review of Fassbinder: His Movies, My Poems (Anxiety Press, 2024) is the last one this book is going to receive. That publication had this to say on my literary tribute to the late, great German auteur: "a brilliant, inventive collection that not only pays homage to Rainer Werner Fassbinder’s films but also reinterprets them in a fresh, poetic light." You can read the full review over at Fahmidan Journal's substack. For those who are curious, I've aggregated all the other reviews and interviews on this book's behalf on my website as outlined below. 15 total!
First Roundup: Bay Area Reporter, Eclectic Avenue, London Grip, and Sacred Chickens
Second Roundup: Eighth Day, The Georgetown Voice, Headcanon, Other Terrain, Ovunque Siamo, and Unlikely Stories Mark V
Third Roundup: Hamilton Arts & Letters, Harpur Palate, Out in Print, and Modern Literature
Addendum: The poem "Room 666" was reprinted at Autumn Sky Poetry DAILY.
In the spirit of the national boycott happening today, I'll direct you to buy the book on Bookshop, a website devoted to supporting local, independent bookstores.
The above image pulls together three terrific, early cover designs for Fassbinder: His Movies, My Poems by Anxiety Press' founder Cody Sexton. I didn't want these to go to waste since I liked them so much, too.
